ASM Air provides crew management for private and managed aircraft. We recruit, vet, train and schedule pilots and cabin crew, and we manage their licensing, medicals and recurrent training. Owners can discuss crew staffing and employment arrangements suited to their aircraft and management agreement.
What Crew Management Covers
Selection and vetting.
Background checks, licence verification and experience reviews before anyone joins your aircraft.
Training.
Recurrent simulator training, emergency drills and service standards kept current.
Scheduling.
Duty and rest planning that meets regulations and your travel patterns, including short-notice changes.
Compliance.
Licences, medicals and certifications monitored to support timely renewals.
Owner matching.
Crew chosen to fit your preferences, languages and cabin style.
Ongoing development.
Regular evaluations and service coaching.
Safety first, always
Crew standards decide safety outcomes. Our crews train to meet current industry standards, conduct regular emergency simulations, and operate under GCAA oversight. Comfort matters. Safety leads.
Consistency you will notice
A familiar crew learns your routines: the coffee before takeoff, the cabin temperature, the quiet approach to service. Crew stability is a service feature, and we manage rosters to protect it. Pilots and cabin crew interested in joining the team can check careers at ASM Air for current opportunities.
When discussing crew support, share your aircraft type, operating base, expected travel dates and cabin preferences. Ask how leave, recurrent training and relief coverage will be planned, and who will communicate roster changes. Our aircraft management provider selection guide helps you compare responsibilities and reporting before agreeing the service scope.
Part of full aircraft management
Crew management connects aircraft management, flight operations and continuing airworthiness planning. Rosters need to account for recurrent training, licence and medical validity, leave, flight duty limits and rest. Sharing maintenance downtime and planned travel dates helps identify relief-crew requirements before a scheduling conflict affects an owner flight.
Pilot standards
Pilots must hold the licence, type rating and medical certificate that the aircraft and the flight require. We verify each document and review recent experience before a pilot joins your aircraft. Recurrent simulator training and proficiency checks are planned ahead, so no pilot flies with an expired item. Read how our approvals and safety approach fit together.
Cabin crew standards
Cabin crew training puts safety first. It covers emergency equipment, evacuation procedures, first aid and passenger briefings. Service training follows, including cabin care, food handling and discreet service. We match crew to your preferences, such as languages and cabin style.
How we plan duty and rest
Flight duty and rest limits protect safety. They come from the applicable regulations, including the GCAA CAR-OPS flight and duty time requirements (Subpart Q). We plan rosters against these limits and leave room for short-notice changes. Crew must be fit and rested before each flight. If a trip would exceed the limits, we arrange relief crew or adjust the plan before departure.
Relief crew and continuity
Crew need leave, training days and rest. Relief cover should be planned before it is needed. We plan around leave, recurrent training, illness and maintenance downtime. Where possible, the same crew fly your aircraft. When a change is needed, the operations team tells you who is flying and why. Share your travel calendar early so we can plan cover.
Starting crew support for a new aircraft
A clear start prevents scheduling problems later. The usual steps are:
- Confirm aircraft type, operating base and expected flying hours.
- Agree the crew model and staffing needs.
- Verify licences, medicals and experience.
- Complete type and role training.
- Plan the roster and relief cover.
- Review performance and training status on a regular schedule.
